The Egyptian Exchange Conducts A Successful Fire Drill

In the presence of the EGX Chairman and all the employees, EGX has conducted today a successful fire drill in an effort to enhance and raise the level of security and safety. The evacuation was carried out at Smart Village premises in accordance with all the international standards and practices. The entire procedure was completed smoothly and efficiently in 3 and half minutes.
 
After the drill, Mr. Farid stated that the evacuation experience took into account maintaining the stability of the trading process due to the sensitivity of work nature in the capital market and the importance of ensuring trading continuation without interruption under all circumstances. The drill came as part of the exchange's keenness to ensure the security and safety of its employees from the risk of any potential fire, as they were well trained about dealing with fires in matter of minutes until getting professional and experienced help of firemen, and to ensure that employees understand the steps that must be taken in such emergency.
 
The experiment included simulation of quick evacuation of the building, using fire extinguishers and checking their validity, using water in some conditions of firefighting, sterilization of fire place, and finally saving the injured that are incapable of moving to deliver them to the ambulance.
